How orders work

Buying silver from Lavi is simple.

Lock a quote. Wire the funds. We confirm and ship — authenticity and purity guaranteed. A real person is on hand at every step. No accounts, no logins, no surprises.

The whole flow, at a glance

Trusted, fast, and simple.

01

Lock your quote

Place an order on the site or by WhatsApp. The price freezes for 6 hours — silver could run while you wire, the price won't.

02

Quick KYC

For orders over ₪5,000, a 2-minute KYC review. Or get pre-approved — once we review, your KYC stays on file for future orders.

03

Wire the funds

Send a Zahav wire from your Israeli bank. Reference number is on your order email.

04

We confirm

Funds land, we mark the order Confirmed and start order fulfillment. You get an email.

05

Silver at your door

Authenticity and purity guaranteed. In-stock lines ship within 48 hours; by-order lines take about two weeks to source and can slip. Either way it goes overnight with Israel Post, FedEx or UPS — or you collect in Jerusalem.

A real human, end-to-end

We're a boutique dealer, not a chatbot. If you have a question — about the wire, the timing, the product — message us on WhatsApp and a person answers.

How we price

The number you see is the number you pay.

Every checkout price is built from three live inputs: global silver spot, the USD→ILS rate, and our per-product premium. The instant you click Place Order, all three freeze.

That frozen quote holds for 6 hours. Even if silver runs 2% in the meantime, the price you saw is the price you pay.

What goes into your price
  • Silver spot

Live international ₪/oz benchmark — refreshed every minute.

  • USD → ILS

The shekel exchange rate that turns wholesale silver into your local price.

  • Product premium

The above-spot pricing each coin or bar carries — set by mintage, supply, and market demand. Always shown per item, never bundled in.

  • VAT

Israeli 18% VAT, applied per the Israel tax authority.

Live prices on the site refresh every ~5 minutes. Your locked checkout quote is exact to the second you placed the order.
Paying for your order

Send a Zahav. Always.

Bank wire keeps fees low and lets us pass the savings into our premium. We don't accept cards, PayPal, or crypto. And among wires, Zahav (זה״ב) is the only one that lets us lock your price the way the order page promises.

The right way

Zahav (זה״ב) — Israel's real-time wire

Zahav lands in minutes, not days. That's how we confirm your order inside the 6-hour quote window and execute against the price you locked. Every Israeli bank supports it — Hapoalim, Leumi, Discount, Mizrahi, FIBI — usually behind a button literally labeled “זה”ב” in your online banking.

  • Settles in minutes — your quote stays good.
  • Available from every major Israeli bank, online or in-branch.
  • Use the reference number on your order email so it matches cleanly.
Banks publish their Zahav cut-off times in the Zahav screen itself — typically Sunday–Thursday morning through early afternoon, reduced on Friday, none on Shabbat or chagim.
!
Can't send Zahav? A standard bank wire works as a fallback, but it takes a couple of business days to clear — by then your locked quote will have expired and the order has to be re-priced once funds land. Always send Zahav if you can.

Never sent a Zahav before?

It's easier than it sounds — usually one button in your online banking. Walk into your branch or call your relationship manager and they'll show you in 30 seconds. Or just message us on WhatsApp and we'll walk you through your bank's flow.

Sourcing & delivery

In stock in 48 hours. Or bought in for you.

In stock

We hold it now — marked in stock on the product page. Ships within 48 hours of your order confirming, then overnight to your door.

By order

Bought in for you — about two weeks to source, and it can slip if the mint or wholesaler is slow. We tell you where yours stands rather than let it go quiet.

Every order gets replenished — whatever leaves our vault, we re-buy from the same mint or wholesaler so the next customer can buy the same coin or bar.

Edge cases

The “what if” questions.

Most orders go straight through. Here's what happens in the rare cases that don't.

My wire arrived after the 6-hour window. What now?+

You don't need to do anything. A representative will reach out by email or phone, walk you through current spot, and offer two paths:

  • Re-lock at today's price — same items, fresh number. We reconcile against funds received (you wire the difference, or we refund if today's spot is lower).
  • Cancel and refund — full refund, no fees deducted. We don't profit from cancellations.
Can I re-price an order before it's confirmed?+

Yes. Up until we mark your order Confirmed (funds received, fulfillment started), there's a one-click re-lock link in your order email. Same items, today's numbers. If silver dropped while you waited, you keep the savings.

What if my wire amount doesn't match the order exactly?+

The order moves into a holding state and a representative reaches out. We reconcile the difference — you wire the gap, or we refund the surplus. Nothing is locked in until everything matches.

I'm a first-time buyer — how does this actually go?+

Wire your funds; if you haven't messaged us yet, a representative will reach out personally to walk you through the rest. The whole flow is human-paced. A small deposit may be required to start. You get a real person who can answer questions, explain the spot, and guide you to the right entry point.

I order regularly — can I lock a price by phone?+

Yes. For established clients we can arrange a locking fee over the phone — you commit to a spend amount, the lock fee secures the price, and the trade executes at the agreed quote regardless of where spot moves while your wire is in flight. Call us to set it up.

When does a quote require KYC review?+

For large orders or first-time customers. We hold the quote a little longer to give our team time to verify documents. Get pre-approved now to skip inline review on every future order.

Should I try to time the silver market?+

Honestly, no — even the pros can't reliably. Our advice to most clients: dollar-cost average. Buy a fixed shekel amount on a regular cadence rather than waiting for the “right” moment.

“Time in the market beats timing the market.”

Payment and delivery, answered

What payment methods do you accept?

Bank transfer (Israeli bank) and cash (subject to Israeli cash-transaction limits). Israeli bank "Zahav" transfer is typically the most cost-efficient for larger orders, since it transfers immediately and we lock in prices and orders for 6 hours.

Can I pay in cash?

Yes, within the limits set by Israel's Law to Reduce the Use of Cash (2018, amended 2022). For business transactions the cash cap is currently ₪6,000 and Lavi requires a formal KYC to be filled out. Amounts above this must be paid by bank transfer, check, bank check, or card. Limits are periodically updated — please verify at time of purchase.

Do you accept bank transfers?

Yes — our preferred method for larger orders. We accept transfers from Israeli banks (הוראת העברה). A Zahav (זה״ב) transfer is the best option as it settles in minutes, not days — it's how we confirm your order inside the quote window. Bank details are provided upon order confirmation. Transfers typically clear within 1–2 business days.

Do you accept credit cards?

Not at this time. We are actively working on adding credit cards as a payment option. Stay tuned!

Do you accept cryptocurrency?

No. At this time, we only accept wire transfers and cash up to 6,000 NIS. We're working on adding credit card and other methods of payments.Contact us

Can I pay in installments (tashlumim)?

No. We do not use third-party consumer credit services. We're working on adding credit card and other methods of payments.Contact us

Do I need to wait months for my silver to be delivered?

No. Unlike other suppliers in Israel that offer "VAT-free solutions" require a 3 month waiting period and physical travel to Eilat. Lavi Silver offers extremely competitive pricing, that often match or beat these "VAT-free alternatives" with the benefit of the silver being securely shipped to your residence or office, within a few days to weeks. We ship primarily via FedEx and will update you with shipping details and tracking numbers, as soon as your silver is shipped.

Can the silver be shipped directly to my house/office?

Yes. Lavi Silver buys directly from the most-reputable wholesalers in the industry. We ship directly from the USA or London via UPS or FedEx. The silver will arrive 1-2 weeks following the purchase. Once the silver arrives in Israel, we will call you to update you on exact times of shipping, or if you prefer, to have the silver tested by us before delivery - for pickup in Jerusalem.

Do you ship throughout Israel?

Yes, to every city and town in Israel — Tel Aviv, Jerusalem, Haifa, Beer Sheva, Netanya, Herzliya, Rishon LeZion, Ashdod, Petah Tikva, Eilat, and everywhere in between. Delivery to settlements and the periphery is available at the same rate. We ship via FedEx, UPS or Israel Post.

How much does shipping cost within Israel?

Shipping is free on orders above 20 ounces. Below that threshold, shipping is a flat rate of 50 NIS.

How long does delivery take?

It depends on whether the product is in our inventory. Each product on our site is marked either In Stock or By Order, so you'll know the expected timeline before you purchase. In Stock items ship within Israel via Israel Post, UPS, or FedEx and typically arrive within 1–3 business days of payment clearing. Every shipment is tracked, and you'll receive the tracking number as soon as it leaves our hands. By Order items that we source specifically for you typically take 1–2 weeks to reach your door, depending on the product and supplier availability. We'll keep you updated while the order is in transit. If you have a deadline, such as a gift or a specific date you need the metal in hand, let us know when ordering and we'll tell you honestly whether it's achievable.

Is my shipment insured?

We ship by tracked, signature-required delivery: Israel Post overnight traced delivery, or UPS/FedEx tracked shipping. You receive the tracking number as soon as your order leaves us, and we follow it until it is confirmed delivered. If a problem arises in transit, we handle the claim with the courier on your behalf rather than leaving you to deal with it alone. If you'd prefer not to ship, contact us to arrange a handover in person in Jerusalem.

Can I pick up my order in person?

Yes — in-person pickup is available at our office by appointment. Popular for high-value orders because you can inspect coins before taking possession, as well as test the metal with our industrial silver testing equipment.Contact us

Do you deliver on Shabbat or Jewish holidays?

No. We do not process, ship, or deliver on Shabbat or major Jewish holidays. Orders placed before Shabbat ship the following Sunday. Orders placed during Chagim ship the next business day.

What if my coin arrives damaged?

Contact us within 48 hours of delivery with photographs of the damage and original packaging. We arrange a full replacement or refund including return shipping costs.Contact us
